FIGURE 2.2a:  The screen that remains from the previous sequence.  Be careful NOT to click on the set of layers on the left (to do so, would de-select the group).  Generally, to select more than one item in ArcView, click on it and hold down the "shift" key.  In these versions of ArcView, the "shift" key works as the "control" key generally does in Windows, allowing selection of multiple items with some gaps in the list.

FIGURE 2.2b:  Pull down the "File" menu and open up "Extensions."

FIGURE 2.2c:  From the list that appears, click on the box next to "Geoprocessing."  This action will put a check mark in the box.  Then click the "OK" button.

FIGURE 2.2d:  The screen now appears as it did intially.
