Dear 2^nd Ward Neighbor,

Thank you for visiting my campaign website.  I sincerely hope you find it helpful and informative.

Two years ago, I asked for your support in my campaign as an Independent candidate for City Council. I promised that I would work hard to re-focus city spending priorities on basic services and to provide a voice for those 2^nd Ward residents who believed, as I did, that our city government had lost touch with the community, its needs and its priorities.

Over these last two years, I have advocated strongly for dedicating scarce resources to “basic services first” – leading  efforts to enhance public safety, fund necessary infrastructure improvements, to protect city parks and to improve efficiency in service delivery - while resisting more discretionary spending for railroad stations and public art projects.

I have been honored to serve as your 2^nd Ward representative.  Once again, my independent candidacy has the support of a number of Democrats, Republicans and Independents all united by the common goal of re-aligning city government with the community’s priorities. I am excited to continue that work and am hopeful that I have earned your vote in this year’s election.
