KUDZU PROJECT, AN ANN ARBOR CHAPTER 'GREEN TABLES' PROJECT
(Link to LDEI Green Tables Handbook)
    • Work is underway to recruit more new LDEAA members with interests in the Kudzu Project, from both near and far:  in Kudzu country (where it is a prevalent overgrown pest) or in emergent Kudzu country (where it might be handled as it emerges so it does not become an overgrown CO2 producing pest).
    • Recent attendance at a zoom meeting with Chicago Foodways that presented a meeting with a food forager, restaurateur, Michelin star chef, who  lives part of the year in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where she has a food-foraging B&B, and part of the year in Chicago.
    • Recent brief (less than 200 word) summary of the Table Talk event hosted by LDEI submitted to The Quarterly of LDEI.
  • LDEI 3rd Annual Table Talks Events, Kudzu Kickoff, March 26 zoom meeting.

    • Link to Zoom meeting (mp4)
    • Link to archived material in persistent digital archive, University of Michigan
  • Associated articles on the topic are forthcoming
  • Links to future movie files dealing with kudzu will evolve to correspond with the natural seasonal development of kudzu in East Central Mississippi, where the aquifer is clean (no PFAs).
  • Continue to develop an association with nationwide partners who might be interested in creating their own special projects on related topics.  A fine example involves our Affiliate, Bill Arlinghaus, and under his local leadership, the kudzu team at the Brickhaus Brewtique in Meridian, MS.
We welcome participation from anyone who is interested.
