 When we moved to the Faculty Apartment Building at 6019 Ingleside Ave. in the Fall of 1948, there were no other buildings on that block. |
 Our apartment was on the top floor, apartment 802, seen here as the top apartment on the stack. The playground was not fenced when we lived there. I remember a slide of sorts (made of painted white wood) and, eventually, a sandbox. There were also two seesaws. |
 Apartment 802 was a two bedroom apartment on the 60th stree side. I had the smaller of the two bedrooms (it seemed quite large and had a great view out over 60th Street, the Midway, and the University of Chicago campus and another eastern exposure from which I could just see Lake Michigan when the leaves fell. |
