Doris Marie Williams, born July 29, 1922, died peacefully January 4, 2009.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Williams, Sr. in 1985 and also by her parents, Theophile and Margaret Ayotte; and siblings, Bernice, Milford, Urban, Richard, Lawrence, Alexine, Alvin and Louis.  She is survived by her sons, G. Thomas Williams, Jr., (Patricia) and L. Theodore Williams; grandchildren, G. Thomas, III (Amy); great-granddaughters, Madelyn and Emily, Robert Michael, M.D. (Jennifer, M.D.); great-grandsons, Jack, Luke, and Cal, Daniel Patrick (Kelley); great-granddaughter, Molly, Matthew Michael, Anne Marie, Patrick Thomas, Michael Patrick, Patricia “Tricia” Anne; sister, Irma Rose; sisters-in-law, Mary (Urban) Ayotte, Frances (Richard) Ayotte, Blanche (Alvin) Ayotte.  Doris was a proud and caring wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.  We will miss her, especially her sense of humor and frequent phone calls.  We appreciate the care given by Dr. Daniel Drumm and the staff at Blodgett 4E and for the last few days at Spectrum Fuller Ave. 4th floor, especially her nurse, Mary.  Reverend Stephen Vasek, O.M.I., will preside at the Mass of Christian burial to be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 10, 2009.  A luncheon will follow.  Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the services.  Please do not send flowers, as the church is beautifully decorated with Christmas poinsettias.  If you wish, memorials may be made to Salvation Army, Grand Rapids Catholic Central High School Athletic Department, Aquinas College Athletic Department or a charity of your choice.
