John Marinus
Van Vossen, aged 83 of Shelbyville, went to be with his Lord and Savior
in
heaven. He died peacefully at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods on
Thursday, June
25, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey, and his mother,
Sarah.
He is survived by his sister, Johanna (Bill) Ringlever; daughter, Diana
(Todd)
VanDam; son, Mark (Lynn) Van Vossen; grandchildren, Paige, Kirsten,
Erika,
Mick, Alek, Karly; great grandchildren, Emily and Evan; and special
friends,
Wayne, Pat, Joan and Tom. John was a strong man who loved to take
cruises and
explore different places. John's family would especially like to thank
the
staff at Lack's Cancer Center for the loving care they gave him.
Interment will take place at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Faith Hospice, or
a
charity of one's choice
