VAN VOLKINBURG (Fauble) - Rose Van Volkinburg, age 79, of Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. Rose was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Linda Van Volkinburg; great grandson, LaVon Walston; and many siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Donald Van Volkinburg, Sr.; children, Don Van Volkinburg, Jr., Connie (Larry) Holmes, and Bob (Karen) Van Volkinburg; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Rose was known by everyone for her love of children. She touched the lives of many at Bowen Elementary School and the children's ministry at Grand Rapids First. The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Rapids First Assembly - Prayer Chapel, 2100, 44th St. SW with Pastor Jack Pepple officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to BGMC at Grand Rapids First Assembly. |
