Mr. Robert "Bob" Van Ellen, age 88, of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009, and is now resting at peace with his loving Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie, in October of 2000. Bob is survived by his children, Butch and Marti Van Ellen, Debra Brown, Robert Harrison Van Ellen; grandchildren, great grandchildren; and special friend, Lois Loetz. Bob's family greatly appreciated all of the wonderful care and support given to Bob by Hospice of Michigan, and the entire staff at Hearthstone Assisted Living (especially Pop's Girls in the Harbour at Hearthstone). Funeral services will be held Friday 1 p.m. at Fifth Reformed Church (2012 Griggs SE Grand Rapids) with Rev. Jon Sherrill and Rev. Bruce Mulder officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. |
