> Mrs. Carol Rue Tieri (nee Pechumer), our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 6, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin, in 2001. She is survived by her children, Connie and Jerry Nelson of Hudsonville, Ron and Judi Tieri of Jenison; her grandchildren, Jerry Jr. and Patti Nelson, Todd and Renee Nelson, Chad and Jennifer Nelson, Jason and Meaghan Tieri, Megan Tieri, Nicole and Julian Cornell; and 12 great grandchildren. The family would like to acknowledge the thoughtful and compassionate care provided by Dr. Lawrence Pawl and his staff as well as the staff at Amsterdam Manor - Oakcrest. The family appreciates the special visits and encouragement provided by Rev. Jack and Judy Pepple. Two of Carol's grandsons, Rev. Todd Nelson and Rev. Chad Nelson, will be officiating at her memorial service which is scheduled for Monday, August 10 at 11 a.m. at the Grand Rapids First Assembly Prayer Chapel. Mrs. Tieri reposes at the Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, Alt and Shawmut Hills Chapel, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW where relatives and friends may meet her family Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Amsterdam Manor - Oakcrest or Spectrum Health Hospice would be appreciated. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. |
