Marcheta J. "Mickey" Souter, aged 81, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2009.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Souter, Sr. and daughter, Renee.  She is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn (Woodrow) Peck, Cheryl (Dale) Koster, Diane (David) Huyser; her sons, Robert Jr., (Leanne) Souter, Craig (Rebecca) Souter; 14 grand-children; 18 great-grandchildren; very dear friend, Claude Osmun, sister, Joanne Dawson of ID; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and John Winger; and several nieces and nephews.  She enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, reading and especially time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Funeral services for Mickey will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Entombment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  The family requests memorial contributions to Faith Hospice of Byron Center.
