Barbara B. Sluiter, age 79, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 5, 2009. Barb is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Pat Sluiter; by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Marian DeBruyn, Jean and Marvin Boluyt, Betty Appel, Jeane and Jack Cooley; and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Barb was a librarian at Calvin College for many years and a strong supporter of Calvin and University of Michigan. She was a lifelong member of East Leonard Christian Reformed Church, where a funeral to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, February 9 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice of Michigan in her memory.
