Gene
Charles Reinke, known to all of his friends and family as Geno, is
finally
resting in the arms of Jesus after courageously battling cancer for 18
months.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Geffrey Reinke. He is
survived by
his loving bride of 44 years, Sally; his faithful daughter, Jill (Mike)
Plasman; and two special grandchildren he adored, Geff and Zach. He is
also
survived by his sister, Evelyn Mielens; and brother, Ron (Judy) Reinke;
many
nieces, nephews, and an abundance of very special friends. Geno retired
after
33 years as a Buyer/Merchandiser for Meijer, Inc. and presently served
as the
President of Watermark Association. Geno had a passion and zest for
life unlike
any other. He loved his family, his friends and his animals. He enjoyed
golfing, cheering his grandsons on at every sporting event they
participated
in, and traveling. He was the ultimate host and enjoyed serving his
friends and
family. He will now forever serve his LORD. A
brief visitation will precede an 11 a.m. celebration of
life service
Monday with Pastor Paul Krupinski officiating at Trinity Lutheran
Church, 2700
E. Fulton Street. For those who wish to make a memorial contribution,
Geno
specifically requested that contributions be made to the Geff Reinke
Memorial
Scholarship.
