Nellie H. Raudenbush, aged 85, a resident of Clark Retirement Community, passed into the presence of her Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. She was born in Harvey, Illinois on June 4, 1924, and moved to Grand Rapids in 1950. She enjoyed a career as an Executive Secretary. Nellie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 60 years, serving as a communion steward, teaching pre-school Sunday School for 20 years and was a member of the Lydia Circle. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles in 2003. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Sr. and Kathy Raudenbush of Rockford; grandchildren, Heather and Steve Burke of Rockford and Michael Raudenbush Jr. of Grand Rapids; five great grandsons; her brothers, Lee Watson and John Watson; sister-in-law, Shirley Watson; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Clark Retirement Community, 1551 Franklin, S.E., with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Clark Retirement Community Benevolent Fund would be appreciated. |
