| Beatrice A. “Bea” (Traxler) Phillips, aged 74, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Phillips; and brothers, Donald and Raymond Traxler. She will be deeply missed by her children, Don Jr. (Stella) Phillips, Tom (Sue) Phillips, Patti (Ray) VanderVelde, Bonnie Phillips, Jim Phillips; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and caring friends. Bea loved spending time with her family and going on trips to casinos all over America. Funeral services for Bea will be held Monday at 11:00 in Kentwood, MI. Interment is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Spectrum Health Hospice or the American Diabetes Association. |
