Clifton W.
Petersen of Freeport went to be with his Lord on January 30, 2010.
Clifton was
born on April 3, 1916, the youngest of eight children of John C.J. and
Augusta
(Rodeen) Petersen. Clifton enjoyed traveling, and woodworking. Most of
all, he
loved being with his family. Clifton was an inspector of Aviation Parts
at
L.S.I., retiring in 1977 with over 25 years of service. On November 6,
1943, he
married Helen Zimmerman and she preceded him in death on July 7, 1999.
Clifton
is survived by a daughter, Linda (Steve) Hamilton, of Waterford, MI;
sons, Dean
(Jeanne) Petersen of Middleville, and Douglas (Teresa) Petersen of
Freeport;
ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews.
Clifton was also preceded in death by a son, James, and grandson,
Douglas II,
and seven brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be conducted
Wednesday,
February 3, 2010, 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Middleville,
Pastor
Frank Snyder, officiating. Private Interment will take place in Chapel
Hill
Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions to the National Multiple
Sclerosis
Society will be appreciated. |
