| Mrs.
Rose Oumedian, aged 84, of Grand Rapids, left this earth for a kinder,
gentler
place on January 12, 2010. She was born in Highland Park, MI in 1925.
She moved
to Grand Rapids to be with her husband of 53 years, John Oumedian, who
preceded
her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Helen. Rose
spent
the majority of her life caring for her family and being an active
member of
her community through school and civic organizations. She was delighted
to be
around children and her eyes lit up whenever one was nearby. She will
be missed
by those surviving her: son, Tom (Jason); daughter, Judy (Jerry);
granddaughter, Jessica; great grandchildren, Tyler and Lexi; sisters,
Agnes
Khantzian and Lucy Koncagul; and many other cherished relatives. The
service to
celebrate Rose's life will be held on Friday at 12:00 noon St. Mark's
Episcopal
Church, 134 North Division Ave. Interment
at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions
in her memory may be made to a
charity of your choice
