Mr. J. C. Millard,
age 76, was welcomed home to be with his Lord and
Saviour, Sunday, July 5, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. J. C.
worked in
purchasing at Metal Improvement and Engineering until he retired in
1995. He
and his wife were founding members of Community of Christ where J. C.
was
ordained as a Deacon, Priest, and Elder. He is survived by his loving
wife of
55 years, Dorothy; children, Karen Souter of Grand Rapids, Laura (Mike)
Boomers
of Belding, Charles (Debbie) Millard of Coral, Ruth (Joe) Ziomkowski of
Belmont, and Shelia (Tom) DeYoung of Sparta; several grandchildren and
great
grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The service for Mr. Millard
will be
Saturday morning at 11:00 o'clock at Community of Christ, 4875 Palenque
Place,
NE, Grand Rapids, with Elder Ric Farmer, High Priest John Toolin and
High
Priest William Griffin and his life time friend, Pastor David McKellar
officiating. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to
