< style="font-family: times new roman,times,serif;">Mrs. Christine Medendorp, age 87, of Grand
Rapids, went to be with her Lord
after a brief battle with cancer on Monday morning, July 27, 2009. She
was
preceded in death by her beloved daughters, Christie Lynn and Joni Sue
Medendorp. She is survived by her husband, Rev. John C. Medendorp; a
daughter,
Heidi and Dr. Ron Hofman of Grand Rapids, and son, Rev. John W. and
Susan
Medendorp of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Laura and Matt, Mark and
Stephanie,
Sarah and fiancé Joey, Isabel and Michael, Belkis, John C.,
Scott, William,
Charis; one great granddaughter, Anna; one brother, Marvin and Irene
Veltkamp;
sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Helen Veltkamp, Virginia Medendorp,
Wayne
and Gen Medendorp, Sheryl Medendorp. A memorial service will be held
Wednesday
at 7:00 p.m. at Calvin Christian Ref. Church, 700 Ethel S.E., Grand
Rapids. Memorial contributions may be
made to Faith Hospice of Holland Home.
