Jacquelin (Jackie) Mae Matthews, age 84, passed away peacefully January 12, 2010. Jackie was born July 7, 1925 in Grand Rapids, MI and was the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine Siebeneicher. She was the eldest of three children with a sister, Phyllis, and a brother, James, both now deceased. Jackie was married for 62 years to Thomas Matthews who passed away in July of 2008. Jackie was an RN who worked in both the care-giving and administrative side of health care. She loved to read, knit, and converse. Jackie is survived by her three children; sons, Timothy (Mary Kay) and John (Kathy) Matthews; and daughter, Nancy (Bruce) Carson; grandchildren, Colleen and Maggie Matthews, Liz Aniuk, Jessica and Jon Dilorenzo, and Austin Carson; a great grandson, Carson Dilorenzo. Also remembering Jackie with love are many nieces and nephews scattered around the state and country. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday January 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Home 2161 Leonard N.W., Grand Rapids, MI 49504. |
