Allen "Speed" R. Hudson, age 68, passed away on Monday evening, July 13, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. When the call of his country was heard during the Vietnam War he enlisted in the US Navy and served his country aboard a submarine. He is survived by his children, Jodie and Jerry Bowman, Sherrie and Mike Kasnowicz , Allen and Dorinda Hudson, Peggy and Rick Fancett, Andrea and Bob Dollaway and Scott Hudson; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; his sister, Sue (Terry) Vander-Molen; his aunt, Elaine Reeder; many nieces and nephews. His daughter, Toni, his parents, Allen M. and Eva (nee Rinard) Hudson, his brothers, Doug Hudson and Phil Hudson and a sister, Kelly Jo Teesdale preceded Allen in death. Family and friends will gather at Chapel Hills Cemetery on Friday, July 17, 2009 for graveside services at 1:00 p.m. under the auspices of the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard with reflections by Chuck Barker.
