Morris J. Hicks, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away February 26, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Joan R. Hicks; parents, Morris H. and Callie Hicks; adopted parents, Scott and Lena Hicks; brothers and sister, Don and Dale Hicks, Inez (John) Guidebeck; extended family brother, E. Eugene (Geraldine) Hicks, Elaine (Bob) Hammond. Morris will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, Larry (Mary Lou) Hicks, Barbara (Gordon) Duncan, Marcia (Gene) Ellen, Charlene Boylen; and many other extended family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Morris was a loyal member of Faith Lutheran Church, lifetime member of Elks Lodge #48 and the American Legion Croton Post 381. He enjoyed fishing and being with family and friends. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2740 Fuller Ave. NE. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Faith Lutheran Church. |
