   Joshua Hendricks

   1979-2009

a

Joshua Aaron Hendricks, age 30, of Grand Rapids, ended his journey on earth on February 21, 2009 after a courageous five year fight against brain cancer. Joshua is survived by his loving wife, Marni (married October 15, 2005; the best day of Joshua and Marni's lives); and his sons, Gabriel Michael (2) and Jacob Robert (1). The son of Robert and Mary Elizabeth Hendricks, Joshua was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 27, 1979. He was employed as marketing associate with Sysco Corporation, was a member of Gilda's Club and attended St. Isidore Catholic Church. He was a loyal friend of Bill W. for six years. Joshua was a loving husband and father and was happiest spending time with his family and helping others. He enjoyed mountain biking and skiing and was known for his wonderful cooking. He will forever be remembered for his strength and positive attitude and would want those who loved him to remember that life is working out "just right". In addition to his family at home and his parents, Joshua is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth (Nathaniel) Lloyd (nieces Isabel and Sophia) and Adrian Hendricks of Grand Rapids; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Rembusch; his brothers-in-law, Josh and Peter Rembusch of Indianapolis; grandparents, Ruth Richardson and Allen (Karen) Hendricks of California. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 628 Diamond NE, Rev. Donald E. Lomasiewicz, presiding. Interment is at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, February 24, at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish to contribute to an education fund for Gabriel and Jacob, donations may be directed to Fifth Third Bank (Joshua Hendricks Memorial Fund).
