Gertrude
Grigsby passed away on January 27, 2010. Her parents, Karel and Fannie
Wolters
came to America from the Netherlands shortly after their marriage.
Gertrude was
born on 01-01-1916 on Ten Haaf Court in Grand Rapids. She graduated
from South
High School in 1934. She started dating Don Grigsby in 1934 and they
married in
1937. They had two daughters, Betty born on 01/28/43 and Bonnie, born
on
01/09/49. Gert and Don enjoyed, ice skating, square dancing, 4-H,
traveling,
and camping. Gert really liked babies. Her only grandson, Todd was the
apple of
her eye. Proceeded in death: her husband, Don; parents, Fannie and
Karel
Wolters; brother, Phillip and Jean Wolters. Survivors: daughters, Betty
and
Rockey Lynn, Bonnie and Jerry Russell; grandson, Todd and Carolyn
Townsend and
great granddaughter, Tabatha, and many cousins, nieces and nephews of
the
Grigsby and Wolters family. Funeral to be held on Feb. 6th. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. |
