Sharon Fae Gleason, aged 70, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was called home to the Lord on Friday, March 20, 2009, following a lengthy and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis and its complications. Sharon will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Dennis; their daughter and her husband, Terri and Larry VandeVegte; their son, Rick; their daughters, Michelle and Tammy; four granddaughters, Jennifer Kennedy, Melanie Gleason, Christine (Ben) Tovey, and Randi Gleason; five great grandchildren; one sister, Ardyth (Thomas) Heyboer; sister-in-law, Ann Griffioen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Adrian and Harriet (Bylsma) Griffioen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Arie Griffioen, and her sister and brother-in-law, Ginger (John) Huizinga. The Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Southeast Protestant Reformed Church, 1535 Cambridge Ave., SE, Grand Rapids, MI with Rev. William Langerak officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Private graveside services will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
