 Virginia Maxine Gartmon, age 67, departed this
life on April 12, 2010. She was preceded in death by her father, Enoch
Huff and
her brother-in-law, Theodore Moss. She leaves to cherish her memory her
husband
of 43 years, Bill Gartmon; her mother, Emma Huff of Grand Rapids; her
son,
Victor and her stepdaughter, Shelley Wooten of Grand Rapids; and her
godson,
Mark Smith of Chicago, IL. She also leaves her sisters, Emma Jean
(Jerome);
Clementine Sparks and Mattie Hampton; and her brothers, Enoch (Mary)
Huff; and
Chester Huff, all of Grand Rapids; and Roger (Robin) of Farmington, MI.
She
also leaves her in-laws, Eleanor Akil and Russell Moss of Grand Rapids
and a
very special group of nieces and nephews and a host of loving and
caring
friends. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on
Friday,
April 16, 2010 at Gillespie Funeral Services located at 1865 Eastern
SE, Grand
Rapids, MI. The family hour will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April
17, 2010
at New Hope Baptist Church located at 130 Delaware SW, Grand Rapids, MI
49507.
Funeral Services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. She will be
interned at
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. (In lieu of flowers, please send monetary
