Mrs. Maria (Lanie) Salazar Fonseca, aged 57, of Grand Rapids, MI, entered eternal life Thursday, December 17, 2009. Surviving are her mother, Maria Olga Salazar; her children, Estevan Jose Salazar, Augustine (Jennifer) Fonseca, Rebecca (Kevin) Smith, Kristina Maria Perez; grandchildren, Christian Smith, Brianna Salazar, Cameron Smith, Aubrey Smith, Avrey Smith, Aydin Fonseca, Sierra Fonseca, Izik Perez-Greene, sisters Yolanda Araujo, Sylvia (Gerald) Schwartz, Rosa Paul, Alicia Halstead and her special friends; her cousin, Maria Ramirez, Angie Serrato and Ellen Howells. She was preceded in death by her father, Cruz Salazar. Maria was an employee of Fifth Third Bank for 31 years and a member of St. Isidore Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Rosary will be prayed Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions to Faith Hospice will be appreciated.
