 Mary L.
Ferwerda, age 83, of Grand Rapids, died Tuesday, January 26, 2010. She
was
preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; brothers, Arnold and Eugene;
and
sister, Dawn. Mary is survived by her daughter, Debbie Bird;
sister-in-law and
brother-in-law, Bev and Norm Ferwerda; and three generations of nieces
and
nephews. She was the first woman buyer for Spartan Stores and retired
after
over thirty years of service. Mary was a long-time and active member of
Cascade
Christian Church involved in women's groups and as a Sunday school
teacher. She
enjoyed cross-stitching and needlework. Funeral services for Mary will
be held
Friday, January 29, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Cascade Christian Church,

Thornapple River Dr. SE. The family will receive friends one hour prior
to the
service at church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to
the Youth
Ministry of Cascade Christian Church in memory of Mary. |
