Mr. Lester Lloyd Ernwall, age 89, of Sand Lake, passed away on December 27, 2008. During WWII, Lester served in the 1st Armored Division US Army with General Patton. He was a member of Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Kent City. Lester is survived by his son, Lonnie Ernwall of Sand Lake; his daughter, Annette Bolger of Long Beach, CA; and grandchildren, Lars Ernvall, Erick Kloppe, Rick Kloppe, Alana Kloppe, Valerie and Brian Campbell, Jennifer and Mike Bellamy. His wife, Clara, preceded him in death. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Family services will be held at a later date.
