Mrs. Thalia J. Eads,
age 76, is now in the arms of her savior Jesus
Christ who sustained her during her brief battle with cancer. On
Friday, July
31, 2009, she was welcomed into Heaven by her daughter, Kathryn
Lamoreaux, and
her brother, Fredrick Brown. At the age of 10 her father died while
fighting
during WWII. She changed schools many times but was able to graduate
and attend
some college classes. Thalia was a role model to her children, and her
role as
the main mama to the Mambo Mamas was a cherished one. Family was very
important
to her, and the biggest joy in her life. She cheered them all on with
her
wisdom and love, and was their biggest fan. Thalia gave them strength,
laughter, prayers, and taught them how to forgive and accept. A child
of God,
she was at peace about going to meet her Savior. She was loved for her
testimony, her enthusiasm, and her strong faith. She mentored many
people and
gave of herself in so many ways to God's work here on earth. Thalia was
the
church secretary at St. Stephen Lutheran Church and prior to that she
was
secretary at E. Leonard CRC for 15 years. She really enjoyed being
secretary at
St. Stephen Lutheran Church where she served as a ministry person and
also
worked in the nursery and library. Many will recall her gracious smile
when
greeting others who attended the services. Thalia also taught bridge to
the
Northview Senior Citizens. Left behind to deeply miss her and her
beautiful
eyes are her husband of 36 years, Alvin Eads; her children,
Debbie
(Doug) Horn,
Sharon (Don) Straight, Dan (Kathy) Lamoreaux, David (Barbi) Strong,
Joanne
(William) Bouwer, Greg (Adrianna) Eads, Sheryl (Dave) Spidel, Kevin
Eads, Brian
(DeeCee) Eads; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers and
sister,
Sandra Starlin, Don (Deanna) Brown, Betty (Fred) Brown, Nelson Brown;
her
family at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church; and many other special
friends. The
service for Mrs. Eads will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Stephen
Lutheran
Church with Pastor Diane Konynenbelt officiating. Interment will be in
Chapel
Hill Memorial Gardens. Those planning an expression of sympathy are
asked to
consider St. Stephen Lutheran Church Missionary Fund or the American
Cancer Society.
