a Mr. Clarence Alvin DuShane, Jr.,
age 78 of Walkerville, died
Tuesday, January 20, 2009. He was born
in Kent County, MI to Clarence Alvin and Evelyn (Swanger) DuShane, Sr.
On June 29, 1957, he married Milda Crusan. Al was employed
as a parts man for Neals,
Kramer and Valley Truck Parts companies, retiring in 1996. He had
attended the
Walkerville United Methodist Church and was a life member of the Hart
VFW Post
1329. Al served his country in the US
Army during the Korean War for 21 months as a paramedic. His
interests included water skiing, model
boats and airplanes and tinkering with electronics. He was active with
the
School Section Lake Fireworks Association and loved having his
grandchildren
stay at the lake. Mr. DuShane is survived by his wife of 51 years,
Milda;
children, Randy (Christine) DuShane of Marne, Bryan DuShane of Marne,
Denise
Norden of Greenville, MI, Kevin (Renee) DuShane of Marne; nine
grandchildren,
Russell (Elisa) DuShane, Jason Miller, Laura (Mike) Marks, Seann
Miller, Jeff
DuShane, Samantha Norden, Michael DuShane, Cassandra Norden, Tyler
Norden; one
great grandson, Quinton DuShane. The
Funeral Service for Mr. DuShane will be held Monday, January 26, 2009
at 11:00
A.M. with Pastor Ron Worley officiating. Interment will be in
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Military Rites will be performed by
the Hart
VFW Post 1329 and Hart American Legion Post 234. Visitation will
be Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Memorials may be
given to Hospice of Michigan or to the charity of your choice. |
