Fredrick W. Dent, age 70, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 20, 2009. Fred was born in Shanty Town and lived with his family in Wyoming. He served his country in the Marines and was the owner of Bennett & Dent Heating & Cooling. His sisters, Beverly White and Dixie Brown preceded him in death. Fred was the beloved husband, companion, and partner of 48 years to Lorraine (Opatic). Also surviving are his children, Ricky Dent, Timothy and Rebecca Dent, Brian and Sheila Dent, Andrew and Tammi Dent; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Dawn Snider; sister-in-law, Diane Gryzen; brother-in-law, Jerry (Dot) Opatic.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
