Nellie J.
(Kooistra) DeBoer, aged 86, of Wyoming, went to
her heavenly home on Monday, May 25, 2009 and is now with her Lord and
Savior,
and enjoying a reunion with her nine brothers and sisters and their
spouses;
daughter-in-law, Jane DeBoer; and sister-in-law, Annie Doorn, who
preceded her.
Nellie was a caring and giving person, who loved the Lord and shared
her faith
with her cherished family. She was an avid walker, loved to crochet and
enjoyed
playing golf with her husband, Ted. She was an employee of Keebler,
retiring
after 28 years of service. She will be lovingly remembered by her
devoted
husband of 68 years, Ted DeBoer; children, Zane and Debbie DeBoer, Roy
and Pat
DeBoer, Val and Gary DeVos, Ted and Judy DeBoer; grandchildren, Harry
and Sue
DeBoer, Chris and Danielle DeBoer, Kari and Darryl Oliver, Tricia and
Scott
Feenstra, Mark and Michelle Harper, Joe DeBoer; 11 great-grandchildren;
sisters-in-law, Trudy Kooistra, Doris Kooistra; brother-in-law, Ernie
Doorn;
many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held
Thursday 11:00
a.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr.,
Grandville
with Rev. Kent Rottman officiating. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Association for
the Blind
and Visually Impaired. Relatives and friends may meet her family at the
funeral
home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from
10 to
11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
