Mrs. Geesje "Gay" Broere, age 94, of Coopersville and formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away April 23, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Fred; sisters, Dina, Everdina, Lena, Manna and Helena; and brother, Herman Kruizinga. Gay is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Helen, Gerald and Mary-Ella; grandchildren, Nathan, Steven (Melissa), Andrew (Stefanie), Emily; great grandchildren, Kayla Umlor, Adrianna, Marshall, Elizabeth, Landon and Lillian Broere; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home - Van Strien Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield NE where relatives and friends are invited to visit with her family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
