Harold William Brinks, age 86, of Jenison, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 19, 2009. He proudly served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; sister, Lois Zuiderveen. He will be greatly missed by his children: Karen and Willard Smit of Hudsonville, Judy and Casey DeJong of Caledonia, Marcia and Al Van Solkema of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Ruth and Ray Modders, Mae and Ray Dykstra, Robert and Vivian Brinks, Ivan and Sharon Brinks; sister-in-law, Helen (Beenen) and John Hoermann; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 a.m. at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center, Wyoming, with Rev. Kenneth Havert officiating. Interment is at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Cambridge Manor.  Special thanks to the staff at Cambridge Manor for all their support, love and care.
