 Louise A. Betten, aged 96, of Grand Rapids, went to be with
her Lord on Monday, March 30, 2009. She was preceded in death by her
husband,
Ralph, parents, John and Mattie Post, grandsons, Steve Hoffman and
Aaron Hill,
son-in-law, Fred Boerkoel. She was the last surviving sibling of nine
brothers
and sisters. Louise is survived by her children, Marianne (Irwin)
Boersema of
Jenison, Carol Boerkoel of Byron Center, Roger (Jill) Betten of Coral,
Louis
(Geri) Betten of Trufant, Judi Betten of WA; 17 grandchildren; 32 great
grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Alma
Post and
Alene Post both of Kentwood. Louise was a Charter Member of Alger Park
Christian Reformed Church. Funeral services for Louise will be held
Saturday at
11:00 a.m. 4646 Kalamazoo SE with Pastor Ecko DeVries officiating.
Interment is
in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Members of the family will receive
relatives
and friends at the funeral home Friday 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The
family
suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association
or
Juvenile American Diabetes
