Alger W. Beekman,
Sr., aged 86, of Kentwood, went to be with his Lord on
Saturday, August 8, 2009. He proudly served his country in the U.S.
Army Air
Force during WWII, where he was stationed in both England and Europe.
He
retired from Lescoa after many years of service. Alger was preceded in
death by
his wife of 62 years, Virginia. Surviving are his children, Alger, Jr.
(Maureen) Beekman, Bruce (Terry) Beekman, Tim (Mary Kay) Beekman, Tina
(Gary)
Mullett; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren. The Funeral
Service will
be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at John Knox Presbyterian Church,
4150
Kalamazoo Ave. SE, with Rev. Mike Baynai officiating. Interment in
Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice. |
