| James
“Peter” Barry, age 84, of Barryton passed away Tuesday, January 12,
2010
in Mt. Pleasant at Central Michigan Community Hospital. He was born
March 4,
1925 in Grant, Michigan to Alfred and Estela (Birthfeild) Barry Sr.
Peter was a
life member of the D.A.V. He was honorably discharged from the United
States
Navy following his service during WWII. In 1984 he moved from Grand
Rapids to
Barryton with his wife Bernice “Lou” Barry. Together they owned and
operated
Lou’s Restaurant currently Northern Trails in Barryton. Pete is
survived by his sons: Robert and Tony, brother;
Alfred A. Barry Jr., sister; Elizabeth Sturgis, 2 granddaughters, 4
great
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Grand Rapids. |
