John Clemens Arlinghaus, 58, of
Maple Glen, died Saturday, June 20,
2009, at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington, Pa. Mr. Arlinghaus was
born in Jersey City and raised in Rumson. He was the son of the late
Rosalie M. (Sullivan) and Frank H. Arlinghaus of Rumson. Mr. Arlinghaus
attended Holy Cross grammar school in Rumson, Oak Knoll School in
Summit and graduated from the Delbarton School in Morristown, where he
was a member of the school's national championship mile relay teams in
the late 1960's. He earned his bachelors degree from LaSalle University
and his Masters in Taxation from Widener University. Mr. Arlinghaus
attended Outward Bound Schools in North Carolina and in Ullswater,
England. He was a financial consultant to numerous corporations,
including ICI, MCNeil Labs, Enron, TYCO, and Johnson & Johnson. Mr.
Arlinghaus was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Public
Accountants, the Upper Dublin Junior Athletic Association, and a
communicant of St. Alphonsus Church, Maple Glen, Pa. His many hobbies
and pastimes included coaching, golfing, rock climbing, shooting and
home improvement.
He is survived by
his beloved wife, Karen M.
(Glodek) Arlinghaus of 33 years; two daughters, Erin Marie and Kelly
Ann, both of Maple Glen, Pa.; his sister, Alix Ann Arlinghaus and his
brother, Dr. Frank H. Arlinghaus, Jr., both of Rumson.

07960, Attn: Craig Paris. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
